GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Client Relations Manager at Highland will focus on connecting and maintaining
strong relationships with private sector clients, playing a key role in guiding prospects through
the sale and informing them about the project status. In addition, the Client Relations Manager
would be responsible for working with our marketing team to promote the company's
Professional Land Surveying and Civil Engineering services. The Client Relations Manager
would be expected to manage sales funnels, proposal follow-up, and inbound leads, old leads,
ETC. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in sales, client communications,
and project coordination, working closely with experienced engineers, land surveyors, project
managers, and external stakeholders such as developers, contractors, and consultants. The
Client Relations Manager will develop valuable expertise in understanding client needs,
negotiating contracts, and supporting the company's efforts to deliver exceptional service and
innovative engineering solutions.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
This position will work with professionals and leadership within the company to assist in sales,
communications, follow-up, and negotiations under the direction of the CEO.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential functions for the Client Relations Manager may include a range of duties focused on
sales, client engagement, and project coordination:
• Manage and track inbound leads and past leads, qualify prospects, and follow up
consistently to nurture relationships and advance sales opportunities.
• Coordinate with private sector clients to understand project needs, present the
company's civil engineering and land surveying services, and tailor solutions to meet
client objectives.
• Create reviews and interpret proposals, contracts, and project documentation to ensure
alignment with client expectations and industry best practices.
• Conduct on-site meetings and client walkthroughs to gather information, address
concerns, and identify opportunities for service improvement or additional project work.
• Support preparation of sales proposals and cost estimates, collaborating with technical
teams to deliver accurate, competitive, and comprehensive proposals to clients.
• Assist in negotiations on project scope, fees, and terms, working to secure new contracts
and maintain positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

engineering, and construction sectors. Candidates should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Surveying, or a related discipline, though those
currently pursuing such degrees or have offsetting experience are also encouraged to apply.
Prior sales or business development experience, particularly within the land surveying or civil
engineering industries, is highly valued.
In addition, Highland prefers candidates who possess a valid driver’s license and reliable
transportation, as travel to client sites and project locations may be required. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM systems are
highly desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone
and email etiquette, are essential for effective client interactions and internal collaboration.
The ideal candidate should also demonstrate solid organizational abilities, attention to detail,
