Patient Service Representative / Medical Office Receptionist
Fast growing ophthalmology practice in Vigo County focused on advanced delivery of medical and surgical retina care, is seeking an experienced medical receptionist who can also assist in other matters as needed.
Highland Retina Associates LLC offers high quality care to patients with complicated retinal conditions who have been referred to the practice by other ophthalmologists and optometrists throughout western Indiana and eastern Illinois. Reliability is very important, and candidate must provide an upbeat and “can do” attitude with a warm smile.
- Must have some customer service experience with professional appearance and excellent communication skills
- Must welcome and service referring physicians’ staff and patients in a friendly manner
- Involves heavy phone volume, taking patient messages, scheduling, verify insurance eligibility, collecting and posting patient payments, billing data entry with insurances/demographics
- Medium to high level of computer proficiency and confidence in ability to learn our EMR (electronic medical record) and cloud-based PM (practice management) system
- Office hours are Monday through Friday, some flexibility with time needed
- Multi-tasking and being detail oriented is a must
- Ability to interact with staff, physician and patients in a fast paced environment
