Join our team at Highland Park Market, where freshness, quality, and customer service are at the heart of everything we do. We’re currently seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Deli Associate to support our busy deli department in providing top-notch service and products to our customers. We are looking for a candidate who can work early mornings (6:00 AM) and take responsibility for opening the deli department and preparing it for store opening as well as late afternoon to close the deli department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Slice, weigh, package, and label meats, cheeses, and prepared foods
- Assist customers with orders in a friendly and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked deli case
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist with preparing salads, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go items
- Collaborate with team members to meet department goals
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a deli, supermarket, or food service environment
- Familiar with deli equipment (slicers, scales, etc.) and safe food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage morning priorities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods
- Dependable and punctual team player
- Must be 18 years of age
