Position Overview
Highland Manor is seeking a Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor to lead our Environmental Services department with structure, ownership, and accountability.
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and dignified environment for residents, families, staff, and visitors. Environmental services directly impact infection control, resident satisfaction, safety outcomes, and survey performance. This role is critical to the facility’s overall success.
The supervisor will oversee both housekeeping and laundry operations and work closely with Nursing, Infection Control, and Administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all housekeeping and laundry staff
- Develop and maintain daily cleaning schedules and assignments
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and survey requirements
- Maintain chemical safety protocols and SDS documentation
- Conduct routine quality audits and room inspections
- Monitor linen inventory and maintain appropriate par levels
- Oversee staffing schedules and timekeeping
- Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching
- Participate in QAPI meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure resident rooms and common areas meet dignity and comfort standards

Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience required
- Healthcare or Skilled Nursing Facility experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Working knowledge of infection control standards
- Ability to train, coach, and hold staff accountable
- Must meet state background and employment requirements
