Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate beverage and food orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve drinks and food promptly while maintaining presentation standards in both fine dining and casual environments.
- Ensure proper food safety and handling procedures are followed at all times, including adhering to alcohol service regulations.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces, in compliance with health standards.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of bar areas for events like banquets or catering functions, ensuring all supplies are stocked and organized.
- Engage with guests proactively to promote sales of beverages and menu items while providing exceptional customer service in fast-paced settings such as nightclubs or food festivals.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and payment processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively without compromising service quality.
- Previous experience in food service, retail math, or hospitality environments—especially fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings—is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling techniques, and alcohol serving regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change accurately, and managing sales transactions smoothly.
