- Highland Hospital is seeking a full time Admitting Clinical Coordinator. This position is 36 hours per week, days, evenings and night shifts with weekends as needed. Days: 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 10am-6:30pm; Evenings: 11am-7:30pm, 3pm-11:30pm; Nights: 11pm-7:30am. There may be an opportunity for 12 hours shifts on the weekends: 7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am. Facilitates timely admission of adult patients to Highland Hospital (HH). Using Clinical Judgment and experience, interacts collaboratively with physician/provider teams, staff from the Emergency Department, Inpatient and Ambulatory areas, Wilmont Cancer Center, Transfer Center, and Bed Management to ensure timely decision-making relative to disposition and care needs of people requiring inpatient placement. Using clinical judgment and reviewing care needs, assigns patients to appropriate unit(s). Discretionary skills, critical thinking, collaboration, and excellent communication are essential to function as a liaison between physicians/providers, charge nurses, CRA’s, managers, directors, and Bed Management staff in order to facilitate the admission of acute care patients. The ACC RN assures internal and external customer satisfaction and promotes a positive image of Highland Hospital by providing customer-friendly service at all times.
