Join our team as a Veterinary Technician at our busy small-animal general practice! We are dedicated to providing exceptional care to dogs and cats through comprehensive preventative medicine, client education, diagnostic services, and surgical procedures. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with animal restraint, catheterization, and aseptic techniques
- Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to support accurate diagnoses
- Handle animals safely using proper animal handling techniques, including dog training and pet grooming when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and medical histories in compliance with veterinary terminology and protocols
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, scaling, and other oral care tasks
- Monitor animal physiology during recovery from anesthesia or critical care situations, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Manage kennel duties including feeding, cleaning, and caring for hospitalized animals with compassion and attention to detail

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Previous veterinary experience in a clinical setting preferred- Experience with animal handling and restraint techniques- Proficiency in administering anesthesia, medications and treatments to animals- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
