What are the responsibilities and job description for the PATIENT ACCESS SERVICES/REGISTRAR/PRN position at Highland Hills Medical Center?
Highland Hills Medical Center seeks the right candidate to join our Patient Access Services team as a Registrar. This position is PRN and the employee will work both day and/or night shifts. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized, friendly, calm under pressure and difficult conditions, and focused on details.
Essential Functions:
This person will arrange for the efficient and timely admission of inpatients and admission of individuals who have order.s for hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures and/or emergency room patients who are present for services. Ensures that patient information is collected and accurately entered into the Azalea computer system in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assures that patients are informed of hospital policies and procedures in accordance with Conditions of Admission and/or regulatory requirements. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Provides for and meets the requirements for billing. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Required Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to type 40 wpm
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor while oftentimes performing under stressful conditions due to patient volumes
- Management skills necessary to maintain business operations with little or no direct oversight
- Perform and complete audits
