What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN II-FAST TRACK position at Highland Hills Medical Center?
Highland Hills Medical Center seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to work in the Emergency Fast Track Department, located within the Emergency Department. This is a full-time position with hospital benefits. Shifts are approximately 10 hours, Sunday through Friday.
While working in the ED Fast Track, the LPN will provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Regulatory Requirements:
- Current Mississippi LPN Nurse license.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Demonstrate current competency in those clinical responsibilities for which assigned.
