About us

Highland Hills Church is a thriving and growing church in Glasgow Kentucky that exists to connect people to Jesus. So far in 2025, we have seen over 100 people baptized as God continues to do an amazing work in our church and surrounding community. We are focused on the gospel, preaching the cross and the resurrection of Jesus each and every time we come together. Since our founding in 2011, we have seen over 700 people baptized, and we are currently planning to make the move from two to three Sunday morning services to accommodate the growth that we are seeing.

Highland Hills is an affiliate of Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green Kentucky, and we share the same mission, vision, and core values. As a whole, both churches and our combined ministries saw 864 people baptized last year alone! God is moving mightily, and we find ourselves needing to add capable staff that are passionate and motivated to see more and more people connect with Jesus. We have been praying that God send to us a pastor capable of loving and ministering to our teenagers; a pastor who also has the skills, determination, and vision to lead our thriving REACH ministry; a leader who loves a fast-paced and exciting environment of a church for ALL people.

Duties:

Youth Ministry:- Provide pastoral guidance and mentorship to youth at HHCC- Lead and facilitate youth group services, Bible studies, and other ministry activities- Plan and organize events and activities for youth, such as retreats, camps, etc.- Offer pastoral leadership and counseling support to youth facing personal challenges or crises- Assist in crisis management and intervention for youth in need- Collaborate with other church staff members to coordinate youth programs and initiatives- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all youth participants- Develop relationships with parents and families of youth to provide support and resources

REACH Ministry:

- Plan and coordinate volunteers for REACH projects (I.e. community outreach)

- Oversee already established REACH teams and provide support/leadership for volunteers to achieve REACH goals.

- Establish new REACH initiatives involving teenagers from Youth ministry and volunteers at large for service within the community and within the church.

Requisite Skills:

- Must have an active and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ

- Must be passionate about connecting and leading people to Jesus

- Must be able to preach and teach from God’s word

- Must be motivated to see HHCC grow in all areas of ministry and have a strong and evident work ethic

- Must be responsible, accountable, and disciplined to complete the work of the ministry

- Must be coachable, teachable, and a team player

- Must be able to lead and organize teams of volunteers - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to connect with and relate to youth from diverse backgrounds- Empathy and compassion for individuals going through difficult situations- Strong organizational skills for event planning and coordination- Conflict management skills to address conflicts within the youth group- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required

Prior youth ministry experience is strongly preferred, but not required

Hours Per Week:

- Full Time (salaried)

- Hybrid Work Environment (office, home, beyond), generally Sunday through Thursday but may change due to season or events.

- Willing and able to flex hours due to both personal/family and ministry needs/demands

This position reports to and will work closely with the Lead Pastor

Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of our growing church. In other words, we all will be called upon to wear multiple hats from time to time.

Job Type: Full-time (salaried)

Pay: $40,000 - $45,000 per year
