We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and experienced Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team!
Position Summary
The ideal candidate is a passionate early childhood educator who can create a structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for Pre-K learners. This teacher should be confident managing a classroom, implementing curriculum, communicating with families, and supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead a Pre-K classroom in a safe, nurturing, and engaging manner
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities
- Follow daily classroom schedules and routines
- Support kindergarten readiness through literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and hands-on exploration
- Maintain accurate daily documentation, including attendance, meals, incidents, and classroom updates
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and licensing compliance
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events
- Communicate professionally with parents and leadership
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of classroom teaching experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Strong classroom management skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for early childhood education
Preferred Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred, but not required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Experience with Frog Street Curriculum a plus
- Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards
