Description

Nursing Assistant - Med/Surg (PRN)
Organization: HDH
Hours: Vary per need
Major Responsibilities:

  • Providing direct patient under the direction of the registered nurse and licensed practical nurse.
  • Has knowledge of assigned tasks and equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served.
  • Performs general care routines to assure patient’s physical and mental comfort.
  • Reports on patient’s condition, activities, and care needed from their shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Requirements: Currently enrolled in or completion of a formal nursing assistant program; currently enrolled in a student nurse program (applicant must have one semester medical/surgical clinical experience); or at least (1) one year of previous clinical experience demonstrating competency in Nursing Assistant duties.  Actively enrolled in or completion of High School or GED.
