Position Summary
The Outside Operations Attendant plays a key role in creating an exceptional golf experience for members and guests by anticipating their needs, maintaining a clean and organized golf operation, and providing professional, attentive service throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate the needs of the members and guests
- Clean and restocking golf carts. (i.e. replenishing sand, tees, pencils, scorecards, and folded towels)
- Assist members and guests with their golf bags, at the beginning and end of their rounds.
- Clean and store members' golf bags when they have a designated storage unit in the Golf Shop.
- Assist members and guests with on-course needs, directions, and general support
- Enforce golf course rules, including cart regulations, dress code (if applicable), and safety standards
- Report any course issues (damage, maintenance concerns, safety hazards) to golf operations staff
- Respond appropriately to minor incidents and immediately notify the appropriate staff of emergencies.
- Coordinate with the Golf Shop to manage tee sheet flow and course traffic, and assist with tee sheet billing as needed.
- Follow all Golf Shop procedures for tee sheet billing and for processing purchases of golf merchandise for members and guests.
- Ability to professionally answer phones, take messages, and coordinate with the Professional Staff.
- Keep cart staging, bag drop, practice-area access, and other outside areas clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Previous golf knowledge and familiarity with golf etiquette required. Knowledge of the Rules of Golf is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset
- Ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully and professionally
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and drive a golf cart for extended periods
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
