Loan Compliance Officer
We have a tremendous opportunity for someone with knowledge of consumer and commercial lending compliance. Our client is a local community bank looking to add a Loan Compliance Officer. Essential Functions
This person will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring compliance across the bank’s consumer and commercial lending functions.The person will review loan files and processes, interpret regulatory changes, conduct compliance testing, manage reporting, support audits, and advise management and lending staff on regulatory requirements.
- Monitor consumer and commercial lending activities for regulatory compliance
- Review loan files both pre- and post-origination
- Interpret regulatory changes and recommend changes to policies and procedures
- Serve as an internal resource for lending compliance questions
- Conduct compliance reviews across mortgage, consumer, commercial lending, collections, marketing, and website activities
- Manage and prepare HMDA reporting
- Complete CRA reporting and identify qualifying community development loans
- Conduct fair lending risk assessments
- Review flood insurance compliance
- Manage NMLS administration
- Prepare for and support regulatory and internal audits
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and the Board
- Develop and deliver regulatory/compliance training for lending staff
- Monitor BSA/AML and OFAC requirements as they relate to the role

Here is what our client requires:
- 5 years of experience in loan documentation, processing, lending operations, or lending
- 3–5 years of direct loan compliance exposure
- Strong knowledge of federal lending regulations and compliance requirements
- *Particularly consumer regulations
- Experience conducting loan file reviews, compliance testing, and risk assessments
- Experience developing or maintaining lending compliance policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience (experience outweighs education)
- Paralegal background to read/interpret changes or find answers is attractive but not necessary
