Job Position Title: Lead Teacher(s)
Salary: 0-3 Years of Experience: $13.00/hr
3 Years of Experience: $13.50/hr
Job Goal: To lead and implement a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate summer daycare program that supports students’ social, emotional, and physical growth while fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
Program Implementation
- Plan and lead daily activities, lessons, and enrichment opportunities
- Create a structured, engaging, and age-appropriate environment
Student Supervision & Safety
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
- Follow all district policies and childcare regulations
- Implement behavior expectations and positive discipline strategies
Student Development
- Support students’ social, emotional, and physical growth
- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving
Communication
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians
- Report concerns or incidents to the Site Supervisor
Collaboration
- Support and guide daycare assistants
- Participate in staff meetings and planning sessions
Administrative Tasks
- Track attendance and maintain required documentation
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of program spaces
