Position Overview
Highland Community School District is seeking a motivated and student-centered individual to serve as the High School Student Council Sponsor. The sponsor will advise and support the student council in planning school events, developing student leadership, and promoting a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and mentor the High School Student Council members
- Facilitate regular student council meetings
- Assist students in planning and organizing school events such as:
- Homecoming activities
- Spirit weeks
- School dances
- Community service projects
- School-wide initiatives
- Oversee student council budgeting and fundraising efforts
- Coordinate with school administration and staff regarding activities and events
- Supervise events and ensure adherence to school policies
- Promote leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility among students
Qualifications
