Events Manager

Highland | City Club
Boulder, CO Full Time
POSTED ON 3/27/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/25/2026

DESCRIPTION

Located in the heart of downtown Boulder, Highland | City Club is a private business and social club creating new ways of working, socializing, dining, and thriving. We believe in the power of community — and we believe there is no problem hard work, a great attitude, and tenacity can’t solve.

We’re hiring an Events Manager, a key position within our Hospitality Department. This role is responsible for the intake, quoting, planning, coordinating, and execution of every event hosted — everything from routine meetings and lunch programming, to member-hosted happy hours, to major parties, weddings, and corporate events. We host dozens of events per month, these events vary in complexity and size.

This position is for a true do-er. You won’t be “handing events off” after coordinating the details — you’ll own the process from initial inquiry to breakdown and close-out, ensuring every event is executed to a world-class standard. The work is fast-paced, detail-heavy, and cross-departmental by nature, requiring strong communication, great judgment, and the ability to keep many moving parts organized at once.

The Events Manager will use Asana, Slack, and Email to intake event requests, turn around quotes and offerings quickly, document communication and key details, build clear event plans, and relay information to the entire team in a way that sets everyone up for success. Just as importantly, you’ll constantly communicate directly with the guest or member to ensure they have visibility, confidence, and an excellent experience from the very beginning.

The ideal candidate is extremely organized by nature, systems-oriented, and thrives on execution. You should have a strong foundation in hospitality and event coordination, and you should enjoy the challenge of balancing multiple event timelines while delivering consistent excellence. The perfect person for this role loves to execute to a world-class standard, thrives in a tight-knit team environement, and understands the difference between Service and Hospitality in every aspect from internal team-work to external communciation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relentlessly positive, professional, and calm under pressure
  • Extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong hospitality instincts and a commitment to world-class service
  • Proven experience planning and executing events of many sizes and styles
  • “Executor” mindset — you thrive on follow-through, ownership, and getting things done
  • Systems-oriented: able to manage and refine the process by which events come to life
  • Clear written and verbal communicator with guests, members, and internal teams
  • Comfortable using technology daily (Asana, Slack, email, forms, documents)
  • Able to juggle multiple events at once without dropping details
  • Consistent, dependable, and committed to a high-performance standard

BENEFITS

We offer a delicious, organic, seed-oil free lunch every day, along with coffee and tea. You’ll be joining a high-performing, tight-knit team with a truly great culture and a shared commitment to excellence. This is a place where challenge is the norm — we love people who enjoy a good challenge and are intrinsically motivated to work hard and take pride in their work. This role also includes participation in our Hospitality Bonus Program and our Incentive-Based Bonus Programs.
