SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the Branch Manager and in accordance with established policies and procedures, you will be responsible for the effective training, coaching, direction, and management of the Teller and Relationship Banker staff. This includes ensuring audit compliance and the timely completion of departmental administrative tasks. You will also oversee, participate in, and shape the sales and service culture with Tellers and Relationship Bankers while providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Perform necessary duties in the absence of the Branch Manager.
- Performs all of the functions of a Teller and Senior/Float Relationship Banker.
- Be knowledgeable with banking equipment and be able to perform necessary daily duties.
- Review, maintain, perform and ensure timely completion of all audit requirements necessary for Retail Branch items, regulatory and security compliance
- Review Synergy reports as required to decision within limits for NSF/No-Post Items/SDB and assist with generating letters within guidelines.
- Actively use and leverage CRM reports to train staff to promote and facilitate the sale and referral of financial products and services to customers.
- Recruit, train, oversee, and inspire Teller and Relationship Bankers with continuous management.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with bankers and managers to assess performance, assist the manager with annual reviews, calculate quarterly incentives, review timecards for accuracy and work with manager on addressing any HR issues.
- May assist with coordinating staff scheduling
- Advise customers on account needs and inquiries; provide details on rates, service charges, and any applicable restrictions.
- May serve as a point of contact for vendors regarding requests of supplies and services.
- Work with the manager to determine currency needs to be ordered from or sold to FED.
- Have ability to balance vault, TCR, and coin machine.
- Communicate policies and procedures to personnel ensuring consistent implementation
- Uphold security measures and vault requirements set by management. Ensure staff adhere to guidelines to protect customer privacy and minimize risk of losses.
- Report drawer, recycler and/or vault differences in accordance with company policy
- Offer technical expertise to the team and act as the branch's "subject matter expert" on forms, procedures, and policies.
- Maintain policy and process knowledge on products and services, including Cash Management.
- Responsible for assisting and providing support to the Branch Manager/Retail Manager between assigned Retail branches.
- Any additional responsibilities or requests from Branch Manager or Manager of Retail Banking
- Attend and participate in required trainings, In-Service Days and other bank events, may be offsite.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field from two-year college or technical school and three to five years’ related experience and/or training in Teller positions and supervisor capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
