What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Highland Animal Hospital?
Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality animal care. This roll involves patient handling, cleaning, client communication, recordkeeping, and assisting with medical procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. Must be able to lift 45 pounds. Must be able to multitask, take direction well, and be a team player, enjoy a faster pace, be responsible, and reliable. Scheduled shifts include weekdays from 7:45-6:00 daily. Occasional overtime may be necessary to care for patients after hours. We have a rotation schedule of Holidays & Weekends to care for only Hospitalized patients if needed.
