As our business expands, we are seeking to add a reliable and motivated Custom Applicator to join our team and support our continued growth.
Position Overview:The Applicator will be responsible for operating and maintaining a floater sprayer or spreader efficiently. This position will apply fertilizer, herbicides, and other crop inputs accurately and safely. This role required attention to detail, mechanical awareness, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. They will be required to communicate and work in a team environment to efficiently serve our growers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sprayer or spreader and apply product according to job specifications
- Calibrate and adjust equipment for proper application rates
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on equipment
- Accurately record application data and field information
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines
- Communicate with the Operations Manager as needed
- Assist with loading, mixing, and handling of chemicals as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
- Work extended hours during our peak season as required
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Class A CDL preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable pesticide applicator license and other licenses as needed
- Previous experience operating agricultural equipment is preferred
- Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in an agricultural environment
- Ability to lift and handle equipment as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
