Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Multifamily Maintenance Technician with HVAC certification to join our dynamic property management team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of systems within multifamily residential communities, ensuring optimal comfort, safety, and functionality for residents. Your expertise in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems will be essential to delivering exceptional property maintenance services. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and your knowledge of HVAC design principles.
- Conduct plumbing repairs, including pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and leak detection to maintain water integrity throughout the property.
- Utilize field service techniques to troubleshoot electrical components with tools such as ohmmeters and ensure all repairs meet safety standards.
- Repair appliances and other mechanical equipment within residential units or common areas, including welding or equipment repair as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including service logs, inspection reports, and work orders.
- Assist with property upkeep by performing general maintenance tasks such as welding, carpentry, or boiler servicing to uphold property standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in construction, property maintenance, or field service roles.
- HVAC certification is required; knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems is essential.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge across plumbing, electrical systems, boilers, and appliance repair is necessary for success in this role.
- Ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans accurately.
- Experience operating tools such as ohmmeters and performing equipment repair or welding tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate
