What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscaping Installation Crew Member position at Highground Land & Hardscapes?
The Landscape Installation Crew Member works as part of a team completing residential and commercial landscape installation projects. This is a hands-on position for someone with experience in landscape planting and hardscape installation who takes pride in quality work and enjoys working outdoors. Pay will be based on experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install trees, shrubs, perennials, sod, mulch, soil, and other landscape materials.
- Perform and assist with hardscape installation including pavers, retaining walls, stonework, edging, and related landscape construction.
- Prepare planting beds and project areas through excavation, grading, soil preparation, and final detailing.
- Assist with drainage, irrigation, and landscape lighting installation as needed.
- Load, unload, move, and stage plants, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Safely operate hand and power tools used in landscape construction.
- Follow project plans, layouts, and direction from the Crew Leader or Landscape Manager.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite and properly care for company tools and materials.
- Work with the crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous hands-on landscape installation experience, including planting trees, shrubs, and other plant material.
- Previous hardscape installation or construction experience, such as pavers, retaining walls, stonework, or similar work.
- Dependable with consistent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to safely use common landscape and construction hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including routinely lifting and carrying approximately 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
