Registered Nurse RN Educator Job Summary:
Highfield Gardens Care Center, a sub-acute and long-term care facility in Great Neck, New York, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse RN Educator to join our team. As an RN Educator, you will play a vital role in promoting a culture of learning and development within our organization.
Registered Nurse RN Educator Responsibilities:
Develop and implement educational programs for staff, residents, and families to enhance knowledge and skills in providing high-quality care
Conduct training sessions, workshops, and in-service programs on various topics, including but not limited to infection control, medication administration, and resident care
Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized care plans and provide guidance on best practices
Provide mentorship and support to new staff members and students
Conduct competency assessments and provide feedback to staff on their performance
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Available to assist with night and weekend supervision a plus
Registered Nurse RN Educator Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
Prior experience in a long-term care or sub-acute setting
Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
