A leading Long Island manufacturer of high-reliability electronic components used in aerospace, defense, and medical applications is seeking a Microelectronics Assembler to join its production team.
This is a hands-on role in a cleanroom environment, assembling precision microelectronic and hybrid components that must meet strict quality standards. What You’ll Do
- Assemble and process electronic and hybrid microelectronic components using precision tools and equipment
- Perform cleanroom operations, including hand or furnace soldering, wire bonding, and mechanical assembly
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and assembly drawings
- Complete production steps accurately within established cycle times
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Set up and maintain your workstation and assist with material movement as needed
- Follow all safety, ESD, and cleanroom protocols to maintain a controlled environment
What You’ll Bring
- 1–2 years of electronic or microelectronic assembly experience (cleanroom experience preferred)
- Comfort working under a microscope for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail, steady hands, and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and technical drawings
- Familiarity with basic computer use for documentation and production tracking
- Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- High School Diploma or GED required
