Responsibilities
- Lead the development of construction documents, including structural drawings and specifications, ensuring adherence to engineering standards
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful delivery
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to provide technical direction and support
- Serve as project manager, overseeing projects from concept through completion
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal support and strategic input
- Provide structural engineering expertise and technical support across disciplines
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Minnesota and/or North Dakota required
- California licensure preferred; additional state registrations are a plus
Experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects to completion
- Experience with seismic design, structural retrofits, and blast-resistant design is highly desirable
Core Skills
- Strong structural design experience across a variety of project types
- Proficiency in RISA, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; additional structural analysis software experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and assess structural impacts
- Proven ability to build relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Experience reviewing drawings and coordinating with drafting staff to ensure quality deliverables
