Family Law Attorney – Higher Level Legal
Location: Raymore, MO
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $130,000 – $165,000 per year, depending on experience
Higher Level Legal is a fast-growing, client-centered law firm focused exclusively on family law matters throughout the Greater Kansas City Area. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Family Law Attorney who is passionate about helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions with clarity, compassion, and effective legal counsel.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, and paternity actions
- Conduct initial client consultations, develop case strategies, and maintain ongoing client communications
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of case activity and timekeeping records
- Collaborate with in-house legal assistants and paralegals to ensure case progress and client satisfaction
- Stay informed of legal developments in Missouri family law and maintain compliance with all ethical standards and firm protocols
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and in good standing
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience practicing family law preferred
- Strong litigation skills, including courtroom advocacy and legal argument
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and integrity in client interactions
- Familiarity with legal case management software like Clio.
