Security Systems Support Technician
We’re an established MSP seeking a motivated Security Systems Support Technician to assist with troubleshooting, servicing, and supporting video surveillance and door access control systems at client locations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem solving, and customer interaction while building experience with commercial security technologies including IP cameras, door access systems, and basic network connectivity.
You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to diagnose issues, perform basic repairs, assist with installations, and provide exceptional customer support both remotely and onsite.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and support IP camera and video surveillance systems
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving door access control issues
- Replace or service cameras, readers, locks, power supplies, and related hardware
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues related to security systems
- Verify PoE connectivity, cabling integrity, and device communication
- Respond to client service requests remotely and onsite
- Document service work, configurations, and support tickets accurately
- Assist senior technicians with system installations and upgrades
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence at client sites
Who You Are
- Interested in physical security technology and hands-on troubleshooting
- Comfortable using basic networking concepts such as IP addressing and PoE
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and low-voltage cabling
- Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and eager to learn
- Able to work independently while also collaborating with a team
- Comfortable traveling to client locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in low-voltage, security systems, IT support, or related technical work
- Familiarity with IP cameras, NVRs, or door access systems preferred
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and PoE
- Experience with Speco, Turing, ProDataKey, or similar platforms is a plus
- CompTIA A , Network , or vendor certifications are beneficial but not required

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
