Responsibilities
- Lead interactive coding and robotics lessons tailored to various age groups, ensuring activities are engaging, educational, and accessible to all students
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that promotes participation and respect
- Supervise children during activities, outdoor play, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Implement age-appropriate teaching strategies that support childhood development and foster curiosity in STEM subjects
- Maintain safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response readiness
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum content that aligns with youth development goals and program standards
- Facilitate youth group activities that promote teamwork, leadership skills, and social-emotional growth
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavior as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as camps, tutoring, childcare, or youth programs
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience in special education or working with children with diverse needs is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide young learners effectively
- Outdoor work experience is advantageous for leading outdoor STEM activities or field trips
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
- Background in childhood development or youth program facilitation is highly desirable
