Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and bookkeepings.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements, including IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Manage treasury functions such as cash flow analysis, investment management, and risk assessment to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
- Direct financial statement preparation, interpretation, and analysis to inform executive decision-making.
- Implement robust risk management practices covering operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
- Oversee budgeting processes, forecasting activities, cost control measures, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Lead audit processes for public accounting compliance and coordinate external audits to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial software systems to enhance reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with business development teams to evaluate new investment opportunities and revenue streams.
- Develop policies for governmental accounting standards where applicable to ensure adherence to public sector requirements.
- Foster leadership within the finance team by mentoring staff and promoting a culture of excellence in financial management.
Experience
- Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles within a manufacturing business.
- Proven expertise in IFRS, IAS, GAAP, ASC 606 standards, along with strong knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex budgets, forecasting models, and cost control initiatives.
- Deep understanding of treasury management including cash flow analysis and investment strategies.
- Strong background in risk analysis, compliance management, governmental accounting practices, and public accounting procedures.
- Exceptional skills in financial report writing, interpretation of financial statements like profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
- Leadership experience with teams responsible for general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable processing, and technical accounting functions.
- Ability to navigate sophisticated financial software systems with proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation tools.
