Job Overview

We are seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Person to oversee a variety of key maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and basic HVAC. This position supports operational uptime and equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and installation, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Working closely with production teams, maintenance staff, and contractors, the Multi-Craft Maintenance Person ensures equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical capabilities in both mechanical and electrical systems and demonstrate flexibility in managing cross-disciplinary tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive and Routine Maintenance

  • Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Lubricate, calibrate, and replace components to reduce risk of breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.

2. Mechanical and Electrical Repair

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues related to wiring, sensors, fuses, and control systems.
  • Replace or repair defective parts using appropriate tools and methods.

3. Installation and Modifications

  • Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and systems.
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to improve performance and compliance.
  • Ensure all installations meet design, operational, and safety standards.

4.Facility Maintenance

  • Perform minor plumbing and basic HVAC maintenance, including filter replacements.
  • Maintain lighting, facility systems, and safety infrastructure.
  • Support emergency response for facility or equipment failures.

5. Safety and Compliance

  • Follow OSHA guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE protocols.
  • Identify and report hazards and participate in safety audits.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

6. Cross-Functional Communication

  • Communicate maintenance status, issues, and needs with supervisors and production staff.
  • Coordinate with contractors and other departments as needed.
  • Mentor junior maintenance staff and share technical knowledge.

7. Documentation and Reporting

  • Complete detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory reports.
  • Use schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce downtime and enhance reliability.

8. Role Competencies

  • Attention to detail and safety awareness.

9. Technical Skills

  • Operation of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic HVAC and plumbing maintenance.
  • Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and computer-based reporting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varied conditions.

Citizenship & Security

· Legally authorized to work in the U.S

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
