What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drop Team Supervisor position at High Winds Casino?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Drop Team Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Drop Team Department and providing supervision and direction the drop team personnel ensuring all functions are performed within the guidelines of High Winds Casino and departmental policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare all schedules to ensure shifts are adequately staffed
- Responsible for addressing employee issues, concerns, or complaints as they arise and promptly communicating with the Accounting Manager of all concerns.
- Responsible for training new hires in the operations on the Drop Department.
- Conducts department meetings as necessary to provide updates and direction.
- Remove and replace drop boxes from slot machines and transport to the count room in a secure manner.
- Ensure accuracy and accountability during the collection process and verify all drops reconcile with the vault.
- Report any repairs needed to the Drop team Supervisor and Gaming Machine Techs.
- Attend all necessary training and departmental meetings as required.
- Maintains a professional work environment with casino guests, management, and staff.
- Must meet the attendance guidelines of the job.
- Must adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Must uphold and promote a high degree of confidentiality.
- Performs all other tasks or duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment.
- High school diploma or its equivalent required.
- Must be able to handle cash responsibly and adhere to banking protocols.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively with and interact well with others.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the OGC.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Demonstrate physical endurance and a positive mindset while performing effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
