JOB SUMMARY:
The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all casino areas, including the gaming floor, restrooms, offices, and back-of-house areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Cleans and sanitizes the floors, carpets, and restrooms.
§ Empties trash receptacles, replaces liners, and disposes of waste properly.
§ Sweeps, mops, vacuums surfaces as needed.
§ Cleans and restocks restrooms, ensuring they remain sanitary and will-supplied throughout shift.
§ Wipes down slot machines, chairs, and ashtrays as needed.
§ Maintains cleanliness is restaurants, lounges, and other public areas.
§ Responds promptly to spills breakages, or other cleaning needs ensuring that caution signs are in place when needed.
§ Reports maintenance and safety issues to the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor promptly.
§ Follows all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of chemicals and protective equipment.
§ Attend all necessary training and departmental meetings as required.
§ Maintains a professional work environment with casino guests, management, and staff.
§ Must meet the attendance guidelines of the job.
§ Must adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
§ Must uphold and promote a high degree of confidentiality.
§ Performs all other tasks or duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
§ Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment.
§ High school diploma or its equivalent required.
§ Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
§ Must possess excellent communication skills.
§ Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
§ Must have the ability to deal effectively with and interact well with others.
§ Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the OGC.
§ Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
§ Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
§ Must be able to lift 30lbs.
§ Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
§ Demonstrate physical endurance and a positive mindset while performing effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
