What are the responsibilities and job description for the BARISTA position at High Watch Recovery?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Barista is responsible for providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable café environment.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, coffees, and specialty beverages by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, maintaining front of house equipment based on health code.
- Excellent Customer service including: describing menu items, suggesting products, taking orders, and helping customers in all areas of the dining room.
- Responsible for handling cash and utilizing POS system.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Café Manager and Manager on shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress a plus.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check if required.
Job Specifications:
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to HWRC policies and procedures, adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.
- Adhere to established standards of hygiene and universal infection control procedures in handling all food and supplies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Understanding of hand washing and hygiene techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with guests and co-workers.
