High Watch Recovery Center is recruiting a Physician Assistant ideally with experience in and a passion for Addiction medicine.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Physician Assistant (PA) is to attend to the medical and mental health needs of the Guests and Extended Guests at High Watch Recovery Center. When necessary the PA will do an initial history, physical, psychiatric assessment and prescribe when indicated, review their current medications and assist when appropriate to coordinate their medical and psychiatric care upon discharge from High Watch recovery Center.
- Responsible for providing comprehensive medical assessment, utilizing present and past history and a mental status exam to Guests.
- Assess the need for medical care during the initial evaluation.
- Determine a diagnosis according to the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual V and a treatment plan to support the Guest's recovery
- Responsible for treating Guests when it is deemed necessary for their medical, psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacological needs
No overnight or onsite call responsibility is required with this position.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years post-graduate clinical work experience in treating co-occurring and substance use disorders within a multidisciplinary setting in residential, IOP or outpatient setting required.
- Maintains and holds a current unrestricted CT medical license and a DEA license/registration certification
- Comfortable using EMR and Microsoft programs
