Job Overview
Cleaning your own house is easy, but cleaning at a professional level as a full-time job is not. As a business owner with boots on the ground who cleans the same properties as my employees, I understand the hard work that’s required to consistently maintain properties at a high level of clean. Because of this, we cultivate a deep level of empathy and camaraderie for each other, and truly work as a team to help one another out. And on account of this mutual respect, we offer a living wage, along with a fully funded health insurance program, including vision and dental after two months.
We are looking for a very capable and independent person who is super reliable, and has a natural eye for detail. We are looking for folks who notice the smaller things like dust buildup on a bathroom celling fan, or scuffs on a baseboard. Additionally, as this work encompasses all of the Juneau area, employees must have their own method of personal transportation.
Pay will start at $25/hr for the first two months. If it seems like a good fit for everyone, then pay will be increased to $30/hr with full benefits. If the reliability and level of detail remains consistent, then pay will be increased to $35/hr two months after the previous raise. Employees will then be eligible for annual raises including holiday bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleanings of residential and commercial spaces that is higher than average to keep properties maintained at a deep cleaned level.
- Understanding the difference between "going through the motions" of cleaning, and truly delivering a thorough clean.
- Cleaning with provided equipment, most of which are plant based cleaning supplies.
- Keeping an eye out for anything the property owner may want to be aware of (leaky faucet, burnt out light bulb, faulty washing machine, etc.).
- Generally being very mindful and engaged during the day to ensure everything is done well and nothing gets left behind.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with cleaning or short term rentals is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to do the best you can each day.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment or supplies
- Reliable personal transportation
