Overview
High Tide Theatrical is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Operations & Development Intern to support the administrative, fundraising, and organizational work of a growing nonprofit theatre company.
This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit arts management, fundraising strategy, and organizational operations. The intern will work closely with the Executive Director and gain insight into how a small professional theatre balances artistic mission, community impact, and sustainability.
This role is ideal for a student interested in arts administration, nonprofit leadership, communications, or event management.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling
- Primarily remote, with some in-person support required
- Flexible scheduling outside of required dates
- Required availability:
- Saturday, February 21, 2026 (all day) – Inaugural High Tide Gala
- Thursday, March 5, 2026 (evening) – Underwriter Preview for The Laramie Project
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Operations Support
- Assist with scheduling meetings and preparing agendas
- Help organize internal documents and systems
- Draft and format emails, agendas, and internal materials
- Track action items and follow-ups from meetings
- Support calendar management and reminders
Development & Fundraising Support
- Assist with donor and membership tracking
- Help prepare materials for fundraising campaigns
- Support Development Committee logistics
- Assist with RSVP tracking and guest lists for events
- Help prepare thank-you communications and acknowledgments
Event & Program Support
- Assist with planning and logistics for: Underwriter Previews, Fundraising events (including the Gala), Special performances, Support post-event follow-up and documentation
- Research & Projects (As Needed)
- Research best practices in nonprofit arts administration
- Assist with audience or donor research
- Help document internal processes for future reference
Learning Outcomes

- Working within a mission-driven, community-centered arts organization
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Interest in theatre, arts, or nonprofit work preferred (but not required)
Compensation
- Unpaid internship
- Academic credit may be available, depending on the student’s program
