Position Summary
The Production Manager oversees the scheduling, coordination, and execution of roofing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple crews and projects at once. This role requires field presence, hands-on problem solving, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage roofing projects from material delivery through final inspection
- Schedule crews, equipment, and materials efficiently
- Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members regarding project status and expectations
- Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and professionally managed
- Document project progress and maintain accurate job records
- Transport and maneuver trailers as needed, including backing into tight spaces
- Travel as needed to pick up and deliver materials or supplies necessary to complete jobs
- Assist with ordering materials and ensuring proper delivery
- Conduct final walk-throughs and punch list follow-ups
- Support and enforce company policies and safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Proficient in backing and maneuvering trailers safely
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Roofing or construction project management experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to lead and motivate teams in a professional manner
- Comfortable using smartphones/tablets for job tracking apps and communication
- Willingness to work in varying outdoor conditions
- Ability and willingness to travel locally to pick up supplies and materials as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
- 3 years of experience in a similar role within the roofing or construction industry
- Knowledge of local building codes and inspection requirements
