What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Engineer position at High Tide Oil Company, Inc?
High Tide Oil Company, Inc. is currently hiring for a full time Construction Engineer to oversee and manage all current construction jobs as well as all future construction endeavors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects
- Contributing technical expertise to project drawings and designs
- Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections
- Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager
- Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
- Overseeing construction engineering processes
- Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and OSHA
- Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget
- Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs
- Presenting construction project progress updates to Corporate Management
- Responsible for design, development, implementation and analysis of technical products and systems
- Performing engineering design evaluations and preparing technical specification drafts
- Provide recommendations for alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
- Create, update, and maintain accurate engineering documentation
- Ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Working experience in the construction industry
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to read and comprehend mechanical and construction plans, drawings and specifications
- Ability to organize, prioritize and adjust schedule to consistently meet deadlines om a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred
- Microsoft Office Skills
- Current and Valid Driver’s License required
