Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping industrial bearings and related products. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and quality control while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inventory

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders
• Inspect bearings and components for damage or defects
• Accurately label and store products in designated locations
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits

Order Fulfillment

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare shipments using UPS, FedEx, or freight carriers
• Ensure proper packaging to protect precision bearing products
• Meet daily shipping deadlines and performance metrics

Warehouse Operations

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if certified)
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions
• Assist with layout optimization and bin organization
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Quality Control

• Verify part numbers, sizes, and specifications before shipment
• Assist in handling returns and RMA processes
• Report discrepancies, shortages, or quality issues

Team Support

• Work closely with purchasing, sales, and operations teams
• Assist with special projects and process improvements
• Support overall warehouse efficiency and workflow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse experience preferred (industrial or mechanical products a plus)
• Basic understanding of inventory systems or ERP software
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred Skills

• Experience with industrial parts (bearings, power transmission, etc.)
• Forklift certification
• Familiarity with shipping platforms (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager)
• Basic mechanical aptitude

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse setting
• Exposure to industrial materials and equipment
• Requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing
