What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at High Tech Machinists, Inc.?
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our CNC machining team. In this role, you’ll ensure all parts, materials, and processes meet strict quality standards across multiple industries, including Aerospace and Medical. You will perform inspections using precision measuring equipment and play a key role in maintaining our reputation for accuracy and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure finished parts conform to customer specifications.
- Perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators, micro-heights, and CMM.
- Operate the CMM daily to inspect complex parts for various industries.
- Create First Article Inspections (FAIs) and bubble drawings to accompany final shipments.
- Conduct First Piece Inspections and assist operators with proper part inspection methods.
- Inspect parts both pre- and post-plating and document results accurately.
- Maintain organized inspection reports and ensure all documentation meets company and customer standards.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to identify and resolve quality issues quickly.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators, and CMM.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience creating FAIs and bubble drawings.
- Background in CNC machining or related manufacturing environments.
