Department: Special Education - Central FLSA Classification: Non-exempt, Classified Full-Time/Part-Time Status: Part-Time, Hourly Regular/Temporary: Regular Framework: Hourly, Step 2 (A-K). Range $22.88 - $27.89. Salary is commensurate with experience. Application Open: July 6, 2026 Application Closed: August 1, 2026 The Special Education Academic Coach II is responsible for ensuring that students with diverse needs have access to our general education curriculum. Special Education Academic Coaches are essential to maintaining our low student-teacher ratio and ensuring all students get the individualized attention requisite for success.
Requirements / Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED and - An Associate's degree (or higher) or - 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university or - Met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading (or readiness), writing (or readiness), and mathematics (or readiness).
- Experience in a school/learning environment preferred - Experience with ABA strategies preferred and/or - Experience with student medical needs preferred
