What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detailer position at High Sierra Power Sports?
High Sierra Power Sports is looking for a hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented Vehicle Detailer to join our team. We sell everything from motorcycles, UTVs, ATVs, RVs, trailers, classic cars, exotic vehicles, trucks, etc. Every vehicle that leaves our dealership represents our brand, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in making them look their absolute best.
This is not just a wash job. We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing vehicles back to showroom condition and understands that presentation sells.
Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and detail motorcycles, UTVs, ATVs, cars, trucks, RVs, and trailers
- Complete full interior and exterior details
- Clay bar, polish, wax, and buff paint as needed
- Remove stains, odors, pet hair, and light imperfections
- Clean wheels, tires, wheel wells, engine bays, and undercarriages
- Inspect vehicles for cosmetic issues and notify management of damage or needed repairs
- Stage vehicles for photography and showroom display
- Maintain detailing supplies, equipment, and work area
- Keep the shop, wash bay, and detail area clean and organized
- Assist with moving vehicles around the dealership as needed
- Follow dealership quality standards so every vehicle is customer-ready
Qualifications
- Previous detailing experience preferred but willing to train the right person
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
- Experience operating buffers, polishers, extractors, and detailing equipment is a plus
