Teacher: Extended School Year Secondary
Pay: Starting at $35.00 *extended school year services to students with IEPs, they will be paid their per diem rate.
Staff Hours: 7:30am - 11:45am
Student Hours: 8am - 11:30am
Building: High School (Grades 6-12)
Weeks:
June 8th - 11th
June 15th - 18th
June 22nd - 25th
June 29th - July 2nd
July 6th - 9th
Qualifications required:
- Appropriate licensure for special education
- Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation
- Preference of having knowledge and experience working with children who have individualized education plans (IEP).
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implements individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs
- Creates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities
- Encourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriate
- Conducts and carries out educational assessments
- Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures
