The Role
As a Paraprofessional, you will work under the guidance of our Special Education teachers to assist students with academic, social, and behavioral tasks. This is an ideal position for someone who wants to make a direct, tangible difference in a student's life every day.
Key Responsibilities

Direct Student Support: Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts presented by the teacher.

Classroom Assistance: Help manage classroom transitions and assist students in navigating the high school environment.

Inclusive Support: Accompany students into general education classrooms to provide "on-the-spot" modification and behavioral support.

Documentation: Assist the lead teacher in tracking student progress and maintaining a safe, organized learning environment.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Must meet Arkansas "Highly Qualified" status (either 60 college credit hours or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment).

Attributes: High level of patience, strong communication skills, and a reliable work ethic.

Experience: Previous experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
