HS Boys Wrestling Coach

Job Description:

Round Valley High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Boys Wrestling Coach to lead our high school boys wrestling program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching, a strong background in wrestling, and the ability to foster positive relationships with the school community. The coach will be responsible for developing student athletes both on and off the field, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities:

1. Head Coaching Experience:

 - Demonstrated experience as a head wrestling coach at the high school level or equivalent.

 - Proven ability to develop and implement effective coaching strategies that lead to success on the court.

 - knowledge of the rules and regulations governing high school wrestling.

2. Community Engagement:

 - Ability to establish and maintain meaningful and sustainable relationships with the local community, parents, and       stakeholders.

 - Organize and participate in the community events, fundraisers, and activities to build support for the soccer program.

3. Player Development:

 - Create and implement a comprehensive player development program focused on skill enhancement, physical conditioning,     and strategic understanding of the game.

 - Foster an inclusive and positive team culture that encourages personal growth, discipline, and academic success.

4. Pre-Season Workout Preparations:

 - Develop and execute a structured pre-season training program to prepare players physically and mentally for the upcoming     season.

 - Conduct tryout, assess player skill, and make informed decisions regarding team placement. 

5. Summertime Workouts/Tournaments:

 - Coordinate and lead off-season workouts, practices, and participation in summer tournaments.

 - Provide opportunities for players to engage in competitive play during the off-season to enhance skills and team cohesion.

6. Team Management:

 - Manage and supervise assistant coaches, ensuring a cohesive coaching staff that aligns with the program's goals.

 - Effectively communicate with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and       updates.

Qualifications:

 - Previous experience as a head wrestling coach or assistant coach at the high school level.

 - Strong knowledge of wrestling fundamentals, strategies, and coaching techniques.

 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 - Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential.

 - Commitment to promoting academic success and character development among student-athletes.

Must have a valid IVP Fingerprint Card
