Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Agriculture Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. As the second teacher in our Agriculture Science Department with primary focus on Animal Science , you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students while contributing to the growth and development of our agricultural program.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited University.
Valid Texas teaching certificate or eligibility for certification through an alternative route program
CDL or be willing to obtain.
Experience working in agricultural education or related fields, preferably in a secondary school setting.
Strong knowledge of agricultural principles, practices, and industry trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
Experience
Knowledge of animal Science courses.
Ag Science projects
Exhibit strong organizations, communication and interpersonal skills
Train LDE, CDE and speaking events
Assist with record books, awards and scholarships
Supervise SAE projects and assist with all stock shows
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Ag Mechanics Teacher to develop and implement engaging curriculum and instructional materials.
Teach a variety of Agriculture Science courses based on your strengths and expertise, which may include but are not limited to:
Animal Science
Plant Science
Agribusiness
Agricultural Mechanics
Provide hands-on learning experiences, including laboratory and fieldwork, to reinforce theoretical concepts and develop practical skills.
Mentor and advise students participating in agricultural extracurricular activities, such as Future Farmers of America (FFA) programs and competitions.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
