What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Care Paraprofessional (12 months) - High School position at HIGH SCHOOL?
The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for a Health Care Paraprofessional. Under the supervision of the Certified School Nurse, the Health Care Paraprofessional assists with the School Health Services Program by providing minor first aid, basic health care for students who are ill, injured, or have chronic health conditions, and completing related clerical duties.
Additional responsibilities include reviewing student registration files for immunization and compliance requirements and providing health office coverage for Champs Camp, Extended School Year (ESY), and other summer programs as needed. The position may also include coverage in the nurse's office during Zero Period, when a limited number of classes are held prior to the typical start of the school day.
The primary work location during the school year will be the high school; however, summer assignments may occur at various district locations based on program and staffing needs.
Qualifications: Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required.
