POSITION TITLE: Head Girls High School Track Coach/Assistant Cross Country with Credit Recovery Teaching Assignment
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper certification through the Arkansas Department of Education and Arkansas Activities Association/NFHS Coaches Education Program
REPORTS TO: Building Level Principal and Athletic Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 220 days with benefits provided according to Siloam Springs School Board policies.
ESSENTIAL COACHING FUNCTIONS:
- Display loyalty to the principal, athletic director, and the athletic department.
- Supervise athletes and assigned team.
- Assist with supervising all athletes in program.
- Help plan and supervise any special needs/events (awards night, parent meeting, community service, etc.).
- Make suggestions and recommendations to help the program.
- Display sportsmanship towards opponents, officials, parents, and team through appropriate behavior.
- Follow rules and regulations in the Siloam Springs Athletic Department, Coaches and AAA Handbooks.
- Help plan and conduct daily practices for assigned team.
- Attend pre-season organizational meetings as assigned by the athletic director.
- Assist in organizing and running of invitational or AAA tournaments and regular season meets.
- Attend professional development activities and remain current to new coaching strategies.
- Attend all interscholastic contests for assigned team.
ESSENTIAL TEACHING FUNCTIONS

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations.
- Attend meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Remain current on instructional practices in education and coaching.
