The Academic and Behavior Intervention Trainer supports the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports by addressing the academic, social, and behavioral needs of students demonstrating at-risk behaviors (Tier II).

 

This position provides direct interventions, progress monitoring, and restorative support while maintaining supervision of the structure room and in-school suspension (ISS) program. The goal is to reduce office discipline referrals, increase student self-regulation skills, and promote successful reintegration into the classroom environment while simultaneously connecting students to their education

 

The successful candidate is someone who recognizes the importance of student connection, demonstrates exceptional communication skills, and ability to descalate and assist students with emotional regulation. 

 

This person will coordinate closely with the administrative team. 

 

An associate degree, or at least 48 hours of post-secondary credits, is preferred. Otherwise, must present a PA Paraeducator Credential of Competency Certificate or be willing to complete free online program within three months of hire.

 

Hours: 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch

10-month position
