  • Support students in developing academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and self-advocacy skills.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies, technology, manipulatives, projects, and real-world learning experiences to increase student engagement.
  • Maintain a well-organized learning environment that promotes student success and independence.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, IEP requirements, confidentiality regulations, and applicable state and federal special education requirements.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A valid North Carolina teaching license in Exceptional Children/Special Education.
